About

My very short story is, that while electronics and design of all types is my life (I'm an EE), I only looked at amateur radio from afar for decades.

Finally, in late 2011, I decided to get my "Ham" license. So I took the Technician test, and after passing it, Sid (K2GG) encouraged me to take the General test right there, cold. I passed that too. He shook my hand and said that in his experience as a VE, I was "one in 100". So two months later I took, and passed, the Amateur Extra test and here I am.

I'm hoping that my lifelong experience and enthusiasm for this stuff outweighs my very, very short time as a Ham!
