Awesome and Inexpensive USB Programming Cable for Portable Radios

Just arrived is an awesome and inexpensive USB programming cable for portable radios. Amazon has is listed as the "USB Radio Programming Cable for VX-1 VX-2 VX-5 FT-60 FTDI Chipset Windows 7"

I will be using it with Bob Freeth's (G4HFQ) Yaesu programming software, specifically the VX-3R version first.

This particular cable has the audio-style connector which goes into the Yaesu's microphone/speaker/cloning connector, and has four conductors, rather than the typical audio plug's two- or three-conductor type.
