Just arrived is an awesome and inexpensive USB programming cable for portable radios. Amazon has is listed as the "USB Radio Programming Cable for VX-1 VX-2 VX-5 FT-60 FTDI Chipset Windows 7
I will be using it with Bob Freeth's (G4HFQ) Yaesu programming software, specifically the VX-3R version first.
This particular cable has the audio-style connector which goes into the Yaesu's microphone/speaker/cloning connector, and has four conductors, rather than the typical audio plug's two- or three-conductor type.
